Thinking for the Exponential Age
We’re in the midst of a radical societal change, driven by a series of exponential technologies that are transforming how we live and interact with each other and the world around us. As AI, synthetic biology, renewable energy, among others, mature, they will challenge our economic and social fabric in chaotic ways. In 2015, I started Exponential View to help bring clarity to this chaos.
While populist politicians lower the standards of public discourse and cynically ignore science and shun data-driven debate, Azeem reminds us each week in Exponential View what the curious mind can learn.
The purpose of Exponential View is threefold:
- To bring clarity to the Exponential Age and our rapidly changing world
- To offer perspectives of what the near future will look like and how to evolve a world that is more equitable, safe, and nurturing all life
- To be a bridge between the two cultures of technology and humanities
